ProBox Promotions Presents: Santillan vs. Baraou

On Friday, September 11, at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California, ProBox Promotions returns, featuring fan favorite Giovani “Gallo de Oro” Santillan returning to his hometown San Diego to take on former WBA junior-middleweight champion Abass Baraou of Berlin, Germany, in the high-stakes 10-round main event.

WBO No. 8-, and IBF No. 12-ranked southpaw Santillan, 35-1 (18 KOs), and WBA No. 4-, WBO No. 6- and WBC No. 12-ranked Baraou, 17-2 (9 KOs), will headline a night of world-class boxing that also features WBO No. 6- and IBF No. 11-ranked former IBF featherweight world champion Luis Alberto “Venado” Lopez, 32-3 (19 KOs), of Baja California, Mexico, making his ProBox debut against Daniel “Caballo” Lugo, 28-4-1 (19 KOs), of Sonora, Mexico in the co-featured attraction.

In the chief supporting bout, two of ProBoxTV’s most popular fighters, undefeated junior-lightweights Dominic Valle, 13-0 (7 KOs), of Lutz, Florida, and “The Franchise” Francois Scarboro Jnr, 14-0 (9 KOs), of Cheverly, Maryland, will collide with someone’s 0 on the line in an uncommon battle between rising prospects.
